Abstracts Review

Review and selection of abstracts and workshops/symposia proposals
The Scientific Committee will review all abstracts and session proposals that have been submitted on time and in the specified format. Abstracts and session proposals will be scored according to their originality, innovation, and practical applications. They will then be selected for oral presentation, e-Poster presentation, workshop/symposium session or rejection (see below).

Presenting authors will be notified of the outcome of their submission by e-mail mid-February 2018 and will receive all technical information and presentation instructions prior to the Congress.

Abstracts may be:

✔ Accepted for oral presentation
Presenters will give an oral presentation based on their abstract, usually supported by PowerPoint slides, during a congress session. Oral presenters will be advised of their presentation date, format and length by the Congress Secretariat after their abstract has been accepted.

✔ Accepted for e-Poster presentation
Presenters need to prepare an e-Poster that will be displayed all throughout the event on plasma screens placed in an especially set-up area inside the venue. A dedicated e-Poster viewing session will take place during the Congress and presenting authors are required to be present. The date and time of this session will be communicated to e-Poster presenters via e-mail.

✔ Accepted for workshops/symposia sessions
The submitter (session organizer) is responsible for the session format. The speakers and chairmen will be advised of their session date and session room by the congress secretariat after the session proposal has been accepted.

All accepted abstracts will be included in the Final Program Brochure, as well as in the CD of abstracts.

✔ Rejected
The Scientific Committee reserves the right to reject the abstracts that are not considered suitable.

Registration of presenting authors
All authors accepted for presentation (including workshops/symposia speakers and co-chairpersons) must register for the Congress and pay the registration fee in order to confirm their presentation. Failure to do this could result in losing their presentation slot.

Please note that the early bird registration deadline is 12 February 2018. We recommend that you register in due time to take advantage of the discounted registration fees and to secure your presentation slot.
