Masterclass guidelines

Masterclass proposals may only be submitted exclusively online via the Congress website, using the online form which is available HERE.

Masterclasses are a 90-minute format, 2 speakers maximum.
Logistics such as room allocation and audiovisual arrangements (for PowerPoint presentation) will be handled by the Congress Organizers.

Masterclass requirements

Proposals to organize a workshop should include the following information:

  • Workshop title. The title should be brief (100 characters maximum) and objectively describe the session
  • Full contact details of the submitter and the proposed speaker(s)
  • One overall abstract (maximum 300 words, with 2-6 scientific references)
  • Expected outcomes: learning about clinical/services, research, training, health policy, advocacy innovations ​
Submission rules

Proposals must be submitted on or before the closing date, 31 January 2018

Please ensure that your abstract does not contain spelling, grammatical or scientific errors.

Please note that submitters can go back and make changes to a submitted masterclass at any time up to the deadline. 

No corrections are possible after the submission deadline. The abstract will be reproduced exactly as submitted. No proofreading will be done.

The submitter and all presenters must accept full responsibility for the content, submission, and presentation of their abstract, and retain full copyright of their abstract and presentation. By submitting a masterclass proposal, author(s) give(s) consent and authorize the Organizers to publish or submit for publication their abstract, presentation, picture and biography, and to include them in any congress publications.

Abbreviations should be kept to a minimum. Use standard abbreviations generic drug names. Place unusual abbreviations or acronyms in parentheses after first use. 

Do NOT identify author(s) or institution(s) in text.

Submissions must be made in plain text format (no tables, graphs, charts or images are permitted). 

All accepted workshops will be included in the Final Program Brochure, as well as in the Abstracts CD.

The Organizers reserve the right to reject any proposal for failure to comply with submission instructions mentioned on the Congress website. Please note that late submissions will not be considered.


All authors are requested to disclose any actual or potential conflict of interest including any financial, personal or other relationships with other people or organizations that could inappropriately influence, or be perceived to influence their work.

Please fill in the Conflict of Interest Disclosure Form available for download below, sign it and send it to the Congress Secretariat at abstracts@perinatal2018international.org by 12 February 2018 the latest.
