The innovative and unprecedented 1st International Perinatal TOTAL Health Congress with a focus on the First Thousand Days of Life will take place  between 27th  - 30th  June 2018, at the International Conference Center, Sinaia, Romania. Promoting a robust interdisciplinary collaboration, the congress is presided by professors Eliot Sorel (USA), President 1st International Perinatal TOTAL Health Congress  and Nicolae Suciu (Romania),  Vice-President of The Romanian Society of Obstetrics and Gynecology and President 1st International Perinatal TOTAL Health Congress.

The topics covered during this event will highlight the latest findings in research and their applications in genomics, microbiom, immune system; health promotion, protection, prevention of diseases during perinatal period; vaccines, vaccinations and their relevance throughout life; breastfeeding, food safety for mothers and infants, the role of communication technology; collaboration, integrated care; the influence of the environment on the baby's brain. The exceptional quality of the event is anticipated by the scientific contributions of the plenary speakers, which make up a global, integrative and multidisciplinary scientific program.

At the same time, the scientific event under the patronage of the Romanian Academy and under auspices of the Greater Romania Centenary, supports the performance and development of young professionals, facilitating their access to the latest research and exchange of information with experts from all over the world. The Scientific Committee has set up a series of sessions dedicated exclusively to young residents of obstetrics, gynecology, pediatrics, neonatology, family medicine, public health, where young Romanian and foreign professionals will present the results of their research and initiate an interdisciplinary dialogue.

The Congress is a joint initiative of the World Association of Family Doctors, the World Psychiatric Association, the World Association of Social Psychiatry, the Carol Davila University of Medicine and Pharmacy, the Polytechnic University, the Victor Babeș University of Medicine and Pharmacy Timișoara, "Alessandrescu-Rusescu" National Institute for Maternal and Child Health (main organizer),  the Romanian Obstetrics Association Gynecology, the Romanian Association of Neonatology, the Romanian Pediatric Society, the National Society of Family Medicine, the Romanian Association of Child and Adolescent Psychiatry and Allied Professions, the Romanian Public Health Association and Sanitary Management, Romanian Society of Pediatric Surgery  and the Romanian Association of Epidemiology.
