Welcome to the 1st International Perinatal TOTAL Health Congress: The First Thousand Days of Life in Sinaia, ROMANIA, on 27-30 June, 2018.
Our innovative and unprecedented congress focuses on the first thousand days of life, inclusive of the intrauterine period, and their lifelong health consequences. This historic event will highlight transdisciplinary projects that demonstrate the advantages of collaboration and integration in achieving TOTAL Health and the catalytic role of the perinatal period.
This is a joint initiative of our scientific partners, the World Organization of Family Doctors (WONCA), the World Psychiatric Association, the World Association of Social Psychiatry, Carol Davila University of Medicine and Pharmacy, Politehnica University Bucharest, Victor Babeș University of Medicine and Pharmacy, and several organizing partners led by the “Alessandrescu- Rusescu” National Institute for Maternal and Child Health, the principal organizer.
The scientific program will highlight plenary sessions, symposia and workshops on the latest research discoveries and their applications regarding the baby brain connectome project, genomics, microbiome, immune system; health promotion, protection, illness prevention in the perinatal period; vaccines and vaccinations and their lifelong relevance; breastfeeding, nutrition health protective and promotion aspects; the role of information, communication technology; access, quality and sustainability of global health systems and their performance; collaborative, integrated care for achieving Perinatal TOTAL Health. A Young Health Professionals’ Track (YHPT) will be part of this innovative, transdisciplinary congress. Masterclasses with world recognized experts shall be one of several distinct features of our congress.
